What will be admitted to the Munch Auction?
The Munch auction accepts works in all relevant techniques, i.e. oil, pastel, watercolour, drawing and graphic works.
The choice, however, will be selective – and in choosing, attention will be paid to rarity and technical condition. Only in exceptional cases will unsigned works be accepted.
A natural first step for a seller is to send us a photo, an E-mail, or telephone and describe the object. All works sold at the Munch auction are submitted to the Munch Museum.
The deadline for depositing works to be auctioned is usually mid-October each year. However, we accept works throughout the year prior to the November auction, and early delivery gives us a greater possibility for effective marketing.
If you own a Munch work that is for sale, contact us to discuss the possibility of a sale at the next auction. This is noncommittal and free of charge.
